Let’s talk about dreams.
Navigating the world of entertainment is difficult. So much of the world is mysterious and larger than life. What steps do you take? Who do you trust? Can this dream be a reality? Managing those dreams and expectations can be daunting. We know, we started out with a dream as well!
The truth is, yes it is difficult and it takes hard work, determination and helpful hand to guide the way. Thats where our film mentorship program comes into place. It’s a helpful guide in the beginning steps of the young dreamer.
The Dreamer
Truth is, the dreamer can be anyone or any age. When we say, “young dreamer”, we mean the dream is young in the mind and needs incubation. The ambitions are big, unbridled and disorganized, our goal is to lay out a plan, build resources, apply knowledge and gain experience for each dreamer.
The Teammates
Dreamers are not the only one’s in the mentorship program, those surrounding the dreamers are as well. When the mentor releases the dreamer to their opportunity, it’s the surrounding team that takes the helm. The mentorship program will coach the team on their responsibilities when the dream becomes reality.
The Mentor
It’s the old African proverb “it takes a village” where we apply the mentor relationship. Its not about one mentor specifically, it about building a community of mentors that will help teach and apply the knowledge to both the dreamers and their teammates, turning dreams into reality.
“So, how does it work?”
The DREAM PLANNER
A dream is a part of a BIG IDEA. The dream is often conceived in it’s most developed form and that is the internal picture we want to develop. Turning that dream into a BIG IDEA is where we come into play. The first step in the mentorship process is our DREAM PLANNER. This mentor is the first partner that the dreamer encounters. They listen to the dreams and begin incubating and developing them into a roadmap for the dreamer. Our DREAM PLANNER will the build the network around the dreamer, including their teammates comprised of family and friends, as well, establishing a community of mentors we like to call:
The DREAM ENGINEER
One of the amazing advantages that our DREAM PLANNERS bring to the table, is their own network of entertainment professionals that they have curated over the years. These pros put on their mentor hat when they join our program, as a DREAM ENGINEER. These mentors offer application and build knowledge centered around the aspirations of the dreamer, through courses both online and in person, teaching experiences, as well as curating opportunities for the dreamer to network with fellow dreamers and other mentors. The DREAM ENGINEER is crucial to the growth and knowledge of the dreamers on their journey to developing that BIG IDEA.
The DREAM TEAM
When the dreamers preparation has led to application and finally reaps results, the DREAM TEAM steps in. These are the people closest to the dreamer, taking an active role in the life of the dreamer. With a concentrated consultation from the DREAM PLANNER, the DREAM TEAM learns their role in the dreamers future as well as categories of need, such as personal, financial or spiritual. Of course the mentor will be there to offer advice in the future but it’s those consistently close to the dreamer that will help them stay on course and keep their dream alive.
COMMUNITY of DREAMERS
Ultimately, this is where mentorship carries on. Much like this business, community is everything. We as mentors are cultivating a community for dreamers and each dreamer will have access to that community. As well, the DREAM PLANNERS & DREAM ENGINEERS will connect dreamers into their networks and communities. This networking can lead to opportunities that can change a dreamers life. This truly our own ambition for the mentorship program.
